About NHG Annual Scientific Congress
As a public healthcare cluster in Singapore, our focus is our patients - giving them the best possible quality of life. We seek to constantly improve and renew our healthcare knowledge and practices as a cluster. This pursuit of excellence has led to the 1st NHG ASC in 2002. |
Since its inception, the NHG ASC has grown in depth and stature to become the premier scientific event in the local healthcare calendar. The aim of this event is to give the medical and scientific community an unique opportunity to explore multidisciplinary perspectives on important issues relating to clinical research, and treatment of major diseases and disorders. The Congress also facilitates the exchange of key research findings and best practices among the different segments in the healthcare community. Over the years, this event has consistently attracted not only members of the local healthcare fraternity, but participants from other parts of Asia and the Pacific region.

This year’s logo design illustrates a hand holding onto a capsule.
The blue represents health(care), the golden-orange represents the golden years of life; and the capsule represents science and medicine.
The swirl in the centre of the capsule depicts the intricate interaction between health and life, and the expansion of this interaction emphasized the symbiotic relationship between the health of a person and the lifestyle (and naturally the lifespan) of the person. The capsule that encompassed this interactive pair deepens the symbolic importance of science and medicine, and the collective influence it has on the holistic approach to impacting and adding years of healthy life. |
